This was so the two would never be apart due to touring. Wings went through several line-up changes, although the McCartneys and Laine were constants. The three achieved major commercial success with their third album, Band on the Run, in 1973.The band’s fourth studio album was released in ’75 and it kickstarted their Wings Over the World tour. This ambitious, year long venture took Wings through Britain, mainland Europe, Australia, the United States, and Canada. They were supposed to tour through Japan but that was canceled by the country’s authorities due to a prior marijuana arrest of Paul McCartney’s.
